Williams 2-for-2 on I-State home games

Certainly one of the top Class of 2020 prospects in-state is a running back from central Iowa that collected an offer from the Cyclones over the summer. The recruit has also become a frequent of Ames.

Southeast Polk sophomore Gavin Williams attended both the Iowa and UNI games, and says he’s enjoyed the atmosphere around Iowa State on those days.

Since the summer offer, Williams said he has been in communication with the coaches and said he likes the direction the program is headed.

Following up on a big freshman season has been a tall task for Williams, but that’s had more to do with opposing defenses than in anything he’s done. He has rushed for 204 yards and five touchdowns on 56 carries, while catching eight passes for 206 yards and one score.

For more on Williams' recent game-day visits and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
