Two-sport junior mulls ISU offer

Iowa State was in early with an offer for a Class of 2018 athlete from the south, extending the prospect an offer last winter, and has picked up the pursuit into this fall.

West Monroe (La.) standout Slade Bolden, who plays quarterback for his high school, said he is hearing frequently from lead recruiter Lou Ayeni. The assistant coach is trying his best to get the recruit on campus for a visit.

In addition to the one he received from the Cyclones over the winter, Bolden has offers from Washington, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas-San Antonio.

The junior is also considering being a two-sport athlete in college, which further complicates his recruitment to this point.

For more on Bolden's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
