StL rush end sacks Iowa State offer

A St. Louis (Mo.) area defensive end in the Class of 2019 scored his first scholarship offer from any school following an impressive showing at the Lindenwood University satellite camp.

Iowa State assistant coach Eli Rasheed saw what he needed from Kirkwood High School rising junior Arvell Ferguson and decided to make an offer. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Ferguson said the Cyclone coach made quite an impression on him during his experience at the camp.

Ferguson said he was encouraged to make a trip to Ames in the near future to see I-State for himself.

In addition to the first offer he received from ISU, Ferguson said he has also gotten early interest from Missouri.

For more on Ferguson's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
