Iowa State's 2014 National Signing Day for football was void of surprises - good or bad - as everyone expected to sign with the Cyclones did so and no unexpected written commitments landed in the ISU football office.

All of ISU's expected national letters of intent were signed and faxed to the Cyclone football offices as of just after 12:00 noon Central time. The biggest of those, of course, came from four-star wide receiver Allen Lazard of Urbandale, Iowa. Lazard held a signing day ceremony and press conference at his high school shortly after 7:00 AM, which was the earliest time that signed NLOI's could be faxed to Ames.
Lazard has been solidly committed to Iowa State since December of 2012.
Iowa State also got signed letters from two of its later verbal commitments, both of him just joined the ISU recruiting class for 2014 in January. Clearwater (Fla.) cornerback Mike Johnson and Lawton (Okla.) running back Michael Warren are both highly-rated on the Rivals.com rating system with Warren a 5.7 and Johnson a 5.6. Lazard, for comparison's sake, is rated a 6.0 on the 4.9-to-6.1 scale.
Two other 5.6 rated prospects have signed with Iowa State as well. Wide receiver Jauan Wesley from the Chicago area signed today and junior college defensive back Devron Moore signed with Iowa State in December as a mid-year transfer.
Also signing with Iowa State today have been:
Terry Ayeni, DL, Roswell (NM) New Mexico Military Academy
