Nebraska soph visits Iowa State

Since the contact he can have with the coaching staff is pretty limited at this point in his recruitment, a Class of 2020 wide receiver from Nebraska took it upon himself to visit Iowa State's campus this past weekend.

Bellevue (Neb.) West’s Zavier Betts took in one of the Cyclones’ bowl game practices, saying he liked the team’s overall energy and the effort from the pass catchers currently on the roster.

In addition to watching the football team prepare for the Liberty Bowl, Betts took a look around the academic side of I-State before returning to the football office to chat with head coach Matt Campbell.

The wide receiver, who also has an offer from Nebraska, broke out during the 2017 campaign, racking up 1,035 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air.

For more on Betts' unofficial visit and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
