ISU's newest commitment is a 6-foot-3, 195-pounder from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Long has attended and played basketball at two prep schools in the United States but is now back in Canada for his final year of high school.
Iowa State was the second official visit for Long, who visited Rice last weekend. He also claimed offers from Missouri, Miami, Dayton, Creighton and Western Kentucky.
There is a possibility that Long will complete high school in December and be able to enroll mid-year at Iowa State, starting classes and joining the Cyclone basketball program in January. Long told CycloneReport.com that is the "most likely" scenario.
