Mitchell plans Sept. visit to ISU

Now that he's had his college decision out of the way for three months, a future Cyclone quarterback was able to spent this summer perfecting his craft and preparing to lead his team to big things in 2017.

Winning a Division I state championship as a junior was certainly a big deal for Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco’s Re-Al Mitchell, but the future Cyclone has eyes on a bigger prize this fall.

Third-ranked St. John Bosco opens the season August 25th on ESPN playing at number-five Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas. If the Braves emerge from that game unscathed, they can look forward to a week seven tilt against preseason number-one Santa Ana Mater Dei.

The 6-foot-0, 181-pound Mitchell spent much of this summer improving himself in 7-on-7 tournaments and at the prestigious Elite 11 Quarterback Camp. The senior said he was able to work on a number of areas of his game during those showcases.

After having taken trips to ISU in June and March, Mitchell is planning his official visit for the Iowa game weekend in early September.
