Long lineman planning I-State visit

During a school visit from assistant coach D.K. McDonald last month, Iowa State decided to extend an offer to a Michigan lineman and may soon get the prospect to Ames for an unofficial visit.

Zeeland East Class of 2019 standout Adam Berghorst said the Cyclones’ interest came during a flurry of contact from college coaches during the December recruiting period.

The 6-foot-7, 245-pound Berghorst also has major offers from the likes of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State and Minnesota.

From his long meeting with McDonald, Berghorst says he’s learned a lot of positives about what ISU has to offer on and off the field.
