LEO target has Iowa State on top

Recruited specifically to play the LEO position at Iowa State, a Georgia high school athlete says he believes he could flourish in the defense the program will run.

Roswell two-star LEO prospect Koby Cumberlander said he first heard from the Cyclones in mid-April and has been in steady contact with an assistant coach ever since.

Cumberlander believes he can be a good fit playing a hybrid defender role in the Cyclones’ new 4-2-5 defense, which will be employed by Matt Campbell in his first season as head coach.

In addition to ISU, Cumberlander has offers from Arkansas State, Mercer, Miami (Ohio), Southern Miss and UCF.

For more on Cumberlander's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
