LB planning Iowa St. July visit

The Cyclones will get their first opportunity to host a three-star linebacker from the southeast that they offered months ago.

Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County rising senior Braelen Oliver said he’s excited to check out a school that he recently put in list of favorites.

The 6-foot-1, 212-pound Oliver said he’s been in frequent contact with assistant coach Tyson Veidt and knows exactly where he would be playing in the Cyclones’ defense, and it’s a spot he’s intrigued with.

In addition to ISU, Oliver also has P5 offers from Colorado, Indiana, Minnesota, NC State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Wake Forest and West Virginia. A few of those have dropped off his list of finalists.

For more on Oliver's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
