Junior DT takes closer look at ISU

A three-star defensive tackle recruit from Nebraska with an offer from another Big 12 program was on Iowa State's campus yesterday in hopes of securing one from the coaching staff.

Lincoln Southeast three-star prospect Bryson Williams made an unofficial visit to Ames, and says the experience made quite an impression. But perhaps the highlight of it all for the 6-foot-2, 284-pound defensive tackle was meeting with the leader of the ISU program Matt Campbell.

The next step, at least from Williams’ perspective, is picking up an offer from the Cyclones. Kansas State, South Dakota State, South Dakota, Navy, Ohio and Central Florida have already pulled the trigger on offers, and the big man said he’s hearing from UCLA, Minnesota, Stanford, Wisconsin, Duke, Virginia Tech, Princeton, Yale and New Mexico.

Williams said he believes the staff is close to pulling the trigger on an offer.
