Junior DT Collects Cyclone offer

A Class of 2018 defensive tackle from the Illinois high school ranks is planning to attend an Iowa State Junior Day in the coming months after picking up an offer from the program recently.

Oswego (Ill.) junior Noah Shannon said the visit came during an assistant coach’s stop at his high school during the recent contact period.

In the days that followed his ISU offer, the 6-foot-2, 285-pound Shannon heard from many of the members of head coach Matt Campbell’s staff during a film session.

The Cyclones will now try to get up to speed on Shannon’s recruitment, as he’s been on other campuses like Iowa’s and Wisconsin’s this fall for unofficial visits. The big man said he’s planning to be in Ames in the coming months.

For more on Shannon's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
