Junior CB impressed on Iowa St. visit

The Cyclones got unofficial visits from a pair of talented defenders from the Lone Star State late last week when a duo from Richmond Bush High School made its way to Ames.

One of those heralded rising juniors was Erick Young, who said he was particularly impressed with the staff head coach Matt Campbell has in place. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Young traveled north along with four-star standout Jamal Morris and two other teammates.

With an offer list that includes Power-5 schools Baylor, Colorado and TCU, Young said he needed to see Ames for himself to more seriously consider the Cyclones with his other opportunities.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Young is already talking about a game day visit for the upcoming football season.
