ISU is first offer for St. Louis soph

Iowa State became the first program to offer a Class of 2019 offensive lineman that already has the frame to play at the Power-5 level.

Trinity Catholic’s Ira Henry already stands at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds and has yet to finish his sophomore season. He has gotten the attention of several programs from around the Midwest, but the first of those to step up with an offer was Iowa State back on October 26th.

In the weeks since picking up his first offer, Henry has studied up on the Cyclones and said he looks forward to seeing Ames for himself in the coming months.

Henry has also garnered recruiting attention from Missouri, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Northern Illinois.

For more on Henry's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
