Iowa St. on top for Michigan LB

During an in-school visit last month, Iowa State became the first Power-5 offer for a Class of 2019 linebacker from the state of Michigan.

Romeo junior Brock Horne said the Cyclones’ interest came from out of nowhere, but it was a welcome addition to a pack of G5 schools that includes Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Miami (Ohio) and Toledo.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Horne said that I-State’s area recruiter went into details on the staff’s evaluation of him, as well as shared details on the team itself.

As a high school junior, Horne broke out in a big way by compiling 110 tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss, nine sacks and one interception.

For more on Horne's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
