I-State pursues Minnesotan via NY

Iowa State will be looking for some more immediate help along the offensive line in the Class of 2017 and one target they've identified is at a college on the east coast.

Brooklyn (N.Y.) ASA College standout Malik Besseck said the Cyclones jumped into the fray last month with an offer and have pursued him consistently.

Besseck graduated from Robbinsdale Armstrong High School in Plymouth, Minnesota, and had signed with Georgia State in this year’s class. However, he ended up at ASA College and has re-classified for 2017.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Besseck claims offers from Iowa State, Hawaii, Georgia State, Southern Miss and East Carolina. He has yet to schedule any of his five official visits.
