I-State impresses dynamic APB

The unofficial visit weekend in Ames was a big one for Iowa State, not only because the coaching staff landed a pair of commitments but because they got to host a highly-regarded three-star recruit from the Lone Star State.

Houston (Texas) Lamar standout all-purpose back Ta’Zhawn Henry said he bonded with coaches and players during his ISU visit, and has announced a new list of favorites and a commitment date for the summer.

The 5-foot-7, 170-pound Henry was hosted by veteran defensive back Brian Peavy, who showed him the ropes. Henry also said he got a glimpse of the future in Ames by hanging out with a trio of commits.

The unofficial visit wrapped up with Henry getting some more time with Campbell, a coach the rising senior said he’s developed a fondness for.

For more on Henry's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
