Growing ISU interest for 2018 QB

Iowa State offered a Class of 2018 dual threat quarterback from the state of Illinois last month, who put up improved passing numbers as a high school junior.

Chicago Solorio Academy standout Quincy Patterson said he first put himself on the Cyclones’ radar over the summer, and that interest continued to build as he continued his development as a quarterback this fall.

I-State joined a list of P5 offer schools that includes Illinois, Penn State, Indiana, Northwestern, Syracuse, Mississippi State, Iowa and Vanderbilt. New Mexico has also offered Patterson.

After doing his share of research online, Patterson said he would like to make the trip to Ames soon to check I-State out for himself.

For more on Patterson's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
