Floridian has ISU as co-favorite following visit

Shutting out a conference opponent in the manner Iowa State did on Saturday afternoon is never a bad thing when hosting a three-star defensive back from the state of Florida.

West Palm Beach (Fla.) Oxbridge Academy senior V’Lique Carter made the trip to Ames and was hosted by a Cyclone freshman he’s known since their respective childhoods.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Carter said he particularly enjoyed catching up with assistant coach D.K. McDonald to get the plan on how he’d be used in the Cyclones’ defense.

Carter also has P5 offers from the likes of Kentucky, Oklahoma and Purdue.

For more on Carter's official visit and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
