DE Cholewa eyes summer decision

Iowa State added a 2016 linebacker from just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in Tymar Sutton. Now the staff is back in the area and would like to add a defensive end for the Class of 2017.

McKees Rocks Montour junior Mason Cholewa is considering a summertime official visit to Iowa State, after receiving an offer from the Cyclones on April 30 and seeing lead recruiter Tyson Veidt on campus for spring evaluations.

I-State is recruiting the 6-foot-6, 260-pound Cholewa to play defensive end. The junior already has offers from the likes of Buffalo, UConn, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo and UCF.

Cholewa said he plans to schedule unofficial visits in the coming weeks and indicated a late summer commitment decision is most likely for him.
