Cyclones set pace for Ohio DT

A performance at a regional camp on Sunday by a defensive line recruit Iowa State has been recruiting for a few years could garner the prospect even more attention in the coming months.

Springfield junior Isaiah Gibson said his interest from the Cyclones started shortly after his high school career began, and recently led to an offer from the program.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Gibson, who was named a top-five player on defense at yesterday’s Under Armour camp in Cleveland, has secured P5 offers from ISU, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue and Rutgers. He is a three-star recruit with a 5.6 Rivals rating.

Gibson said his junior season helped him get even more notice from college recruiters.
