Cyclones seek to lock up JUCO DB commitment

After hosting an SEC bounce-back prospect on an official visit in mid-June, Iowa State might know where it stands in the coming weeks.

Trinity Valley (Texas) JUCO defensive back Greg Eisworth, who transferred to the program after one redshirt season at Ole Miss, says he has kept in steady contact with the Cyclones since his trip to Ames over the summer.

The 6-foot-0, 195-pound Eisworth was a three-star recruit with a 5.6 Rivals ranking coming out of South Grand Prairie (Texas) High School. He signed with the Rebels over P5 offers from Baylor, Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Eisworth, who plans to join his next school in January of 2018, appears ready to make a decision between a pair of P5 schools in the coming weeks.

For more on Eisworth's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
