Cyclones reel in Chicagoland OL

It was a several-months long courtship between the Iowa State coaches and an Illinois prep offensive lineman that led the junior to pick the Cyclones on Thursday afternoon during an unofficial visit.

Libertyville (Ill.) three-star Tyler Jost made his decision public in the midst of a three-day unofficial visit to Ames.

Jost also had a Power-5 offer from Syracuse, to go along with a host of others at the MAC and Ivy League levels.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pound Jost said he was ready to shut down the recruiting process and go with the Cyclones.

For more on Jost's commitment with comments from the Illinois big man, please check out a more in-depth story on the ISU Confidential board.
