Cyclones make cut with 4-star ATH

A four-star athlete from the Lone Star State put the Cyclones in with 11 other quality Power-5 programs recently when he announced a group of favorites on his Twitter page.

Cypress Springs rising senior Taye Barber says he is considering the Cyclones for a number of reasons, the first of which is the job head coach Matt Campbell and his staff have done recruiting him.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Barber, the 35th-best player in the Lone Star State for the upcoming class and the 21st athlete nationally, also included Arizona, Clemson, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Stanford, Tennessee, TCU, Utah and West Virginia in his list of favorites.

Barber said he may take an unofficial visit to I-State in the near future with another recruit who was on campus this past weekend.

For more on Barber's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
