Cyclones jump in on Texas corner

In addition to Iowa State, three other Big 12 programs have already offered and are heavily involved with a Class of 2018 three-star cornerback and top-50 overall prospect in the Lone Star State.

Houston Cypress Falls junior Starrland Baldwin said he’s hearing a lot from ISU running backs coach Lou Ayeni, who has been his lead recruiter.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Baldwin was a threat on both sides of the ball as a junior. He recorded 46 tackles, 15 pass breakups and three interceptions on defense. Through 10 games, he had nine receptions for 144 yards as well as 12 carries for 174 yards and one touchdown.

In addition to ISU, Baldwin has Power-5 offers from Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma and TCU.
