Cyclones hard after 2018 Ohio ATH

An Iowa State assistant coach is keeping close tabs on a Class of 2018 recruit from the state of Ohio that's been on the staff's radar for a while now.

Columbus St. Francis DeSales standout junior Brian Asamoah already has an offer from the Cyclones and likes what he’s hearing about the program from recruiting coach Tyson Veidt.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Asamoah has taken on a starring role as a running back and linebacker this season, but said he’d likely play a defensive role for the Cyclones.

Asamoah also has offers from Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Toledo and Eastern Kentucky.

For more on Asamoah's recruitment and how ISU stacks up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
