Custer Officially Signs with ISU

Iowa State men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg announced the signing of four-star point guard Clayton Custer to a national letter of intent for the 2014-15 basketball season.
The 6-foot-1, 160-pound Custer, from Overland Park, Kansas, is ranked no. 90 nationally by Rivals.com. He is a two-time first-team all-state Class 6A pick in Kansas after leading Blue Valley Northwest to back-to-back state titles.

One of the nation's best point guards and one of the best prospects from Kansas, Custer is a true point guard prospect. He was a first-team all-state Class 6A pick in 2012 and 2013 and has played in three-straight Class 6A state title games, winning two straight
Custer led his team to a perfect 25-0 mark in 2013, averaging 22.2 points, 2.1 steals and 5.3 assists. He shot 59 percent from the field, 39 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free-throw line. Custer averaged 19 points and won the Class 6A state title game as a sophomore in 2012, scoring 32 points in the state championship game. As a three-year starter to date, Custer owns a 71-4 high school record going into his senior year.
Custer also had offers from Kansas State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State of the Big 12 in addition to South Carolina of the SEC along with Houston, Tulsa and San Francisco.
