Cali DL studying Cyclones from afar

An offered defensive end from southern California, who was visited by an Iowa State assistant earlier this week, is considering taking an unofficial visit to Iowa State over the summer.

Temecula Great Oak junior Brennan Jackson said his visit with Rasheed was good, hearing that he would be a good fit for Iowa State in the upcoming recruiting class.

Since picking up an offer from I-State, Jackson has looked into the program from afar and said he would like to make what would be his first-ever trip to the state this summer.

A three-star recruit that’s ranked as the 80th player overall in California for 2018, Jackson also has offers from Arizona, California, Washington State, San Diego State, Hawaii, UNLV, Colorado State, New Mexico, Navy, Princeton and Yale.

For more on Jackson's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
