4-star WR favors Cyclones after official visit

Iowa State is looking for at least one more tall receiver in its 2018 recruiting class, a prospect that can eventually help replace senior Allen Lazard. One of those candidates was on hand over the weekend for an official visit.

Jones (Okla.) four-star senior Sean Shaw said he enjoyed the discussion he had with lead recruiter and wide receivers Bryan Gasser the day after the Cyclones defeated Northern Iowa, 42-24, in the season opener.

True freshman receiver Josh Johnson hosted Shaw on his visit, and according to the Class of 2018 prospect, did a nice job of showing off the program.

The weekend trip to Ames was enough to put the Cyclones at the top, says Shaw, who also has a Power-5 offer from Kansas to go with G5 schools North Texas, SMU and Wyoming.
