4-star Parker headed for Nov. decision

Iowa State continues to put in the work recruiting a rising senior defensive end from the Kansas City (Mo.) area.

Blue Springs four-star defensive end Daniel Parker Jr. visited Iowa State during the spring and was hearing from the coaches frequently until a recent slowdown as he took a trip to Jamaica.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Parker is the seventh-ranked player in Missouri and 19th strong-side defensive end nationally for the Class of 2018. In addition to I-State, his top-10 consisted of Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Memphis, Kansas, UCF, Kentucky and Arizona State.

Parker Jr., who participated in last month's Rivals Five-Star Challenge in Indianapolis, indicated he’s not in a hurry to make a decision and likely won’t know his future plans until the month of November.
