3-star RB wraps up I-State visit

A three-star running back from Southern California has parlayed his versatility into a pair of Power 5 scholarship offers, including one from Iowa State.

Chance Bell from Burbank (Calif.) John Burroughs visited ISU's campus on Monday, a day after seeing his other P5 offer school - Illinois - in person as well. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder also has several Group of 5 and FCS offers to his credit.

According to Bell, a highlight of the I-State visit was the chance to talk at length with Cyclone head coach Matt Campbell about his potential role in the future of the Iowa State offense. Bell said that his ability to do more than just run the football is a selling point from ISU's perspective.

Bell, a 2017 target, said a decision is probably coming sooner rather than later and he is focused on three top schools, including I-State.

CycloneReport.com talked to Bell shortly after his Iowa State visit concluded. Get the full expanded story right now on the ISU Confidential subscribers-only message board.
