2020 QB has long relationship with ISU's Campbell

Having been familiar with a quarterback from his old stomping grounds for at least three years, Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell knew all about a prep quarterback in the state of Ohio. After a solid sophomore season, Campbell extended the prospect an offer last month.

Whitmer sophomore Riley Keller, who also has offers from Ole Miss and Toledo to go along with interest from Ohio State and Pittsburgh, said he was excited to hear from the leader of the Cyclone program after he relocated three states over.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Keller said he threw for more than 2,200 yards as a sophomore, his second season as a varsity starter.

At this point, the young quarterback said knows more about Campbell than the program he’s taken over in the Big 12. Keller hopes that changes in the coming months.

For more on Keller's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
