Soph WR impressed by Cyclone facilities

The Cyclones already have one commitment for the Class of 2019 from a quarterback in the state of Michigan, and would also like to get that quarterback's teammate.

Belleville sophomore wide receiver Julian Barnett has multiple Power-5 offers despite the fact he won’t sign a national letter-of-intent for nearly two more years. Iowa State is one of those schools that have offered, and did so on February 23rd of last year.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Barnett, who is a former teammate of the Cyclones’ 2019 quarterback commitment Dwan Mathis, also has P5 offers from the likes of Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State and Missouri.

If he were to ink with I-State in the Class of 2019, Barnett said he could envision himself playing any of the wide receiver positions.

For more on Barnett's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
