Rogers reflects on Iowa St. visit

The Cyclone coaching staff had the opportunity to host an Ohio three-star defensive tackle over the weekend for his first visit to Ames of the recruiting process.

Sidney Class of 2018 standout Devan Rogers said he enjoyed meeting more of the Iowa State staff beyond his lead recruiter Jon Heacock.

The 6-foot-1, 285-pound Rogers sat in on one of the Cyclones’ spring practices and enjoyed all of the other perks of taking an unofficial visit.

Rogers doesn’t appear to be in a hurry to make a decision, as he currently has offers from Rutgers and Bowling Green to go along with interest from several others.

For more on Rogers' unofficial visit and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
