One of Iowa State's three committed defensive backs was on campus during the past week, getting a good look at the place he plans to call him starting in 2018.

St. Petersburg (Fla.) standout defender Anthony Johnson, a three-star recruit by Rivals, said he enjoyed seeing all facets of the life of a student-athlete at ISU.

The 6-foot-0, 160-pound Johnson sat in on a position meeting with cornerback coach D.K. McDonald, who gave the rising senior an idea of where he’ll play on defense. The visit wrapped up with a meeting with head coach Matt Campbell.
