Versatile JC DL weighs ISU offer

Iowa State offered a Class of 2018 defensive lineman from a California junior college after the prospect put together an impressive freshman season in 2016.

American River College freshman Caleb Tremblay, who has also locked up P5 offers from Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas State, Syracuse and Washington State, said he received the Cyclones' offer on April 3rd.

Tremblay played in nine games and recorded 30 tackles, three sacks and one fumble recovery. He said he’s on pace to graduate in December and would have three years to play two. Tremblay said many coaches covet his versatility to place a number of spots up front.

Since picking up the Cyclone offer five weeks ago, Tremblay has spent some time researching his lone Big 12 offer. He is considering taking an unofficial visit to Ames during the summer months.

For more on Tremblay's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
