Three Iowa State Coaches Pursue 2018 Running Back

A trio of Iowa State coaches continue to recruit a three-star running back recruit from the southwest who put up big numbers as a high school junior.

Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial rising senior Zidane Thomas took an unofficial visit over the spring and said he continues to hear frequently from the Cyclones.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound Thomas, who rushed for 2,329 yards and 22 touchdowns last fall, also has offers from Boise State, Northern Arizona and UMass.

Thomas’ trip to Ames, which coincided with the final team scrimmage of the spring, left a lasting impression on him.

For more on Thomas' recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
