The next McCluster has ISU offer

Iowa State is one of three early Power-5 offers for a Sunshine State running back with NFL bloodlines that saw extended varsity action during his first year in high school.

Largo (Fla.) rusher Jayion McCluster, the cousin of seven-year NFL player Dexter McCluster, said he picked up his offer from the Cyclones a couple months ago thanks to some connections his head coach had in the state of Iowa.

Since picking up his offer, McCluster said he’s heard good things from his head coach and former Iowa player Marcus Paschal, plus done his own research online.

I-State is not the only school that has taken notice of McCluster as a freshman – the talented rusher has also secured offers from Boston College and Michigan.

For more on McCluster's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
