Texas RB considering I-State visit

Iowa State was one of the first Power-5 programs to offer a running back from the Lone Star State, and now would like to get the Class of 2018 recruit on campus for an unofficial visit.

Houston Lamar junior Ta’Zhawn Henry shined in front of assistant coach Lou Ayeni last summer at the Sound, Mind and Body camp last summer, and the two have been close ever since.

The 5-foot-7, 170-pound Henry says what stands out to him the most about the Cyclones has been the attention given him by members of Matt Campbell’s staff.

In addition to ISU, Henry has Power-5 offers from Baylor, Colorado, Oregon State and Utah. Henry attended a Junior Day at Baylor this past weekend and says he’ll be heading to Texas this weekend. SMU is also another future stop.

For more on Henry's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
