Strong I-State visit for Texas WR

The Cyclones' lone official visit in conjunction with last week's home game against Texas was a wide receiver the staff is targeting in the Class of 2018.

Frisco (Texas) Wakeland senior wide receiver Tre Adams said the atmosphere around the game impressed him, as did the facilities he toured during his trip which spanned from Thursday through Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Adams is a three-star recruit with a Rivals rating of 5.6. In addition to Iowa State, he has Power-5 offers from the likes of Arizona and Illinois.

ISU is targeting Adams as its third wide receiver addition in next year’s class. During the visit, Adams said he liked what he heard from position coach Bryan Gasser during a meeting.
