StL WR sees himself in ISU offense

Since offering a St. Louis (Mo.) Class of 2019 wide receiver, Iowa State has made the prospect a priority in the junior class.

St. Louis Francis Howell North junior Maurice Massey said he’s hearing from a trio of Cyclone coaches, including head coach Matt Campbell who has had an active role in his recruitment. Fellow assistants Bryan Gasser and Jim Hofher have also kept tabs on him.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Massey has a Rivals rating of 5.7, making him a borderline four-star recruit. His interest thus far has reflected that, as he has Power-5 offers from ISU, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Kentucky.

I-State’s work on the offensive side of the ball in 2017 hasn’t been lost on Massey, who said he loves how the wide receivers have been utilized.
