Iowa State stands as the lone Power-5 offer for a St. Louis (Mo.) offensive lineman and hosted the prospect for an unofficial visit last month.

DeSmet junior Marquise Simmons said he’s remained in touch with coaches since the trip.

In addition to I-State, the 6-foot-2, 319-pound Simmons has an offer from Texas State as well as interest from Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri and Purdue.

One of the biggest highlights during the Junior Day visit was a conversation Simmons had with a member of the ISU staff.
