Soph DE recaps recent ISU visit

After extending a South Dakota prep sophomore an offer during a Junior Day visit this past winter, the Iowa State coaching staff hosted the prospect again for a spring practice last month.

Beresford Class of 2019 recruit Blake Peterson said he enjoyed his experience at an I-State practice on March 25th, and has gotten to know the coaches well since his previous stop in Ames on February 18th that netted him an offer.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Peterson, who is being recruited to play defensive end by the Cyclone staff, said he heard more from the coaches about what their plans are for him at the next level.

In addition to ISU, Peterson has offers from South Dakota and South Dakota State to go along with interest from Iowa and Minnesota. Peterson is slated to visit Iowa this weekend.

For more on Peterson's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
