SD junior takes long look at Iowa St.

Iowa State has been in the picture for a South Dakota prep linebacker for several months now, and hosted the 2019 prospect for an extended unofficial visit last week.

Beresford junior Blake Peterson spent nearly two full days in Ames on his own dime, checking out the Cyclone football program, watching a victory over fourth-ranked TCU and seeing what the school has to offer academically.

The high point for Peterson, he says, was certainly being a part of the atmosphere at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Following the Cyclones’ 14-7 victory, he shared a picture of him amongst the thousands of fans on the field.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound three-star also has a Power-5 offer from Minnesota to go along with FCS schools South Dakota and South Dakota State.

For more on Peterson's recent unofficial visit and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
