Quarterback Hodge is first commitment

Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill quarterback Trevor Hodge broke the ice on Iowa State's recruiting class of 2013 on Friday, becoming the Cyclones' first verbal commitment of the year.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback was just in Ames last weekend, participating in ISU's Junior/Senior camp and making an unofficial visit to the school.
He told on Sunday that he hoped to have a decision made soon. And five days later, he decided to call Iowa State's football office and commit.
Hodge announced his decision via social media, saying on facebook: "Just called in today!!!' & I'm taking my journey of success to IOWA ST!!!! #Cyclone."
Iowa State was Hodge's only scholarship offer to date.
