Physical Prep Receiver Studies Up on Cyclones

An Oklahoma wide receiver has had an Iowa State offer for a few months and could be on the verge of releasing a list of top schools.

Wagoner rising senior Nikia Jones has continued to hear frequently from area recruiter Alex Golesh and wide receivers coach Bryan Gasser prior to the recent no-contact period.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Jones is a three-star recruit by Rivals and rated as the 12th overall prospect in Oklahoma for 2018. In addition to ISU, he has offers from Kansas, Utah State, Eastern Michigan, Stephen F. Austin, Wyoming and North Texas.

Jones’ high school was a frequent stop for Iowa State assistants Alex Golesh and Bryan Gasser during the spring evaluation period, as the duo traveled there on multiple occasions.

For more on Jones' recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
