Peterson still a priority for ISU

A three-star Class of 2019 defensive end from South Dakota has long been a priority for the Iowa State coaching staff, and is eyeing a spring visit to Ames prior to making a decision.

Beresford (S.D.) junior Blake Peterson said he’s grown closer with the staff in Ames, which could pay dividends once he picks a school.

A three-star with a 5.6 Rivals rating, Peterson has offers from I-State, Minnesota, Wyoming, South Dakota and South Dakota State.

As he evaluates all of the schools in contact, he said a number of aspects stand out about the Cyclones.

For more on Peterson's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
