Omaha soph reflects on ISU visit

A linebacker from the state of Nebraska recently took his first unofficial visit to Iowa State, and is now planning for a possible return trip during camp season.

Omaha Burke sophomore Nick Henrich, who also has offers from Minnesota and South Dakota State to go along with interest from Iowa, Kansas State and North Dakota State, said he liked spending some quality time with the coaching staff.

The initial stop for Henrich at I-State included a conversation with the man who could be his position coach one day, Tyson Veidt, as well as head coach Matt Campbell.

The ISU staff has been out to see Henrich twice in recent months, with assistant Jon Heacock making stops at Burke in February and last month during the spring evaluation period.

For more on Henrich's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
