OL Dean considering second visit to Ames

A game-day visit during the football season caught the attention of a Michigan high school recruit in the Class of 2019, and now the prospect is thinking of returning this spring.

Walled Lake (Mich.) Western Jacob Dean, who also has offers from Michigan, Kent State and Ohio, said one of the Cyclones’ coaches was in town recently to follow up on an unofficial visit the big man took over the fall.

The 6-foot-8, 315-pound Dean, a three-star recruit with a 5.5 Rivals rating, said he’s been communicating with area recruiter D.K. McDonald frequently during the contact periods.

In addition to having a connection with former teammate and current Cyclone redshirt freshman Rob Hudson, Dean said he appreciates a number of other aspects of the Cyclone program.
