Official visit recap: OL Trevor Downing
Taking an official visit at this point in the recruiting process was just a formality for a long-time verbal commitment from inside the state's borders.
Creston senior Trevor Downing, a Rivals three-star and a top-five player in-state for 2018, made one final visit to ISU before enrolling in second semester classes next month.
It wasn’t the traditional official visit for Downing, who had to head for Ankeny in the middle of it to take the ACT. He would miss watching the Cyclones’ Saturday bowl practice, but that didn’t detract from a positive experience for the 6-foot-5, 290-pound lineman.
Downing had committed to the Cyclones this summer over offers from Iowa, Kansas State, Minnesota and Missouri.
